چکیده

Direct reproductive traits as they are currently measured tend to be low in heritability, making the environment a beef female is produced in key to reproductive success. Large cow size and high milk production translate into increased energy and protein requirements for the cow, even when not lactating. The increased nutrient requirements can significantly limit the carrying capacity of any farm or ranch. A cow’s nutrient requirements must match feed resources or reproduction will be compromised.

Hormonal, Nutritional, and Immunological Interactions Associated with Efficient Dairy Cattle Reproduction

Efficient reproduction is important for optimal profitability on dairy operations. Unfortunately, most dairy farms do not attain optimal reproduction due to many factors related to management, health, and physiology of high-producing dairy cows. The physiology issues involved in reproduction of lactating dairy cows are complex but increasingly, the interactions between nutrition, the hormonal s...

Nutritional interactions with reproduction in birds.

Interaction from left to right, i.e. reproduction -+ nutrition, dominates the study of nutrition in domestic animals. Reproduction is thought of as generating a requirement for nutrients, which if not supplied results in less than optimum (usually maximum) production. In commercial systems the size and reproductive potential and therefore the nutrient requirements of birds are frequently change...

Interactions between proteolytic and cellulolytic rumen bacteria during hydrolysis of plant cell wall protein.

During the degradation of the plant cell wall protein of dried alfalfa, interactions may occur between hydrolytic activities of cellulolytic (Ruminococcus albus or Fibrobacter succinogenes) and proteolytic (Prevotella ruminicola or Butyrivibrio fibrisolvens) bacteria. In vitro the hydrolysis of these protein compounds begins after the depolymerization of the cell wall polysaccharides has starte...

Diet-Microbiota Interactions: A New Approach to Personalized Nutrition

Personalized nutrition is a new approach in medical sciences that is based on genetic profile, individual needs, and environmental conditions considering health status and chronic diseases of every person. Studies have shown that genetic differences cannot solely justify various responses to medications and diets, and other important factors including gut microbiota are also involved. Human bo...
